Firebird is  a multi-platform TI-Nspire graphing calculator emulator for Linux, Windows, Android, Mac OS X and iOS. Firebird can emulate TI-Nspire CX, TI-Nspire CX CAS, TI-Nspire Touchpad and TI-Nspire Touchpad CAS.

The files that you need :

  1. Download the latest version of firebird here (Android or iOS). + ROM / OS / Operating System. Check the latest version here.
  2. ROM / OS. Download at the end of the article : TI-NspireCX-4.3.0.702.tco or TI-NspireCXCAS-4.3.0.702.tcc
  3. Boot 1 and Boot 2. Download Boot file at the end of the article : Boot1cx.img and Boot2cx.img (for TI-Nspire CX and TI-Nspire CX CAS).
  4. Flash file and Snapshot file. As the mobile UI does currently not provide a way to create a flash image and snapshot file, you have to transfer one from your computer.   1. Extract, install and run firebird for Android or iOS.
  2. Android Install the .apk provided on the releases page. In portrait orientation, swipe the keypad to the left (press on space between buttons) to show the configuration panel and select the boot1 and flash images you uploaded.
  3. iOS Two possibilities: 1. if your device is jailbroken, you can just download the .ipa file and install it with your preferred method. 2. if it is not, or if you want to self-compile it, just follow the iOS build instructions, which will result in installing the app anyway. In any case, you’ll have to transfer the required files (boot1 and flash) from your computer. The easiest way to do so is with iTunes’ file sharing. Swipe the keypad to the left (press on space between buttons) to show the configuration panel and select the boot1 and flash images you uploaded.
  4. After give the kit Name, ex:TI-Nspire CX CAS and select the Boot1, Flash images and Snapshot file. Press Start to start the emulation.
  5. Press “I” on keypad for installation process.
  6. After emulation started and setting the language and font. Press Save to save the emulation, wait until show the message “Flash and snapshot saved” at the bottom.

How to add other graphing calculator emulator like TI-Nspire CX or Touchpad

  1. Run firebird for Android or iOS.
  2. Swipe the keypad to the left (press on space between buttons) to show the configuration panel.
  3. On Flash & Boot1 Copy the current kit to create a new kit.
  4. After give the kit Name, ex:TI-Nspire CX and select the Boot1, Flash images and Snapshot file. Press Start to start the emulation.
  5. Press “I” on keypad for installation process.
  6. After emulation started and setting the language and font. Press Save to save the emulation, wait until show the message “Flash and snapshot saved” at the bottom.
  7. You can setting which default kit started on the configuration panel >> emulation
